What we collect, what we never ask for, and how refunds work.
Every claim on this page is a fact about how EduLessons is built, not a promise about intent. If any of them stops being true, this page is wrong and has to change.
Privacy
Nothing is needed to learn: the free lessons open with no account and no sign-in, and no date of birth or photograph is ever requested.
An account is optional, for a subscription and for keeping progress across devices. If you make one, we hold the email address or phone number you sign in with, or your Google or Apple sign-in. Only if you turn on “Keep progress on your account” are each learner’s name, colour, class and progress also saved to it, with our service provider Google Firebase, so they follow you to your other devices. Only you, signed in, can see them. Turning it off, or deleting your account, removes what was saved.
Without an account, names typed into a profile, lessons finished, scores and certificates are written to this device and stay on it.
There is no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
The app does not need the internet to teach. If a learner chooses a network voice for clearer speech (see “The voice” below) and the device is online, the words being read are sent to that voice service to be spoken aloud — nothing else is ever sent.
Deleting what is stored
Removing a learner’s profile deletes that learner’s work from that device. Uninstalling the app, or clearing it from a browser, removes all of it. Deleting your account (from Your account, signed in) removes what was saved to it.
The voice
Lessons are read aloud by the voice already installed on the device, which works with no connection at all. If the device is online, a learner can also choose a network voice for clearer, more natural speech — but only if they pick one themselves, and it is only ever the words on screen that are sent, never anything about the learner.
Refunds and returns
There is nothing to return: a plan is not a physical product, and nothing is shipped. “Return policy” here means refunds, and this is that policy.
The free lessons need no purchase at all, so try those first. A plan is a fixed number of days of access from the day you buy it — one month or one year, never a rolling subscription that rebills itself (see “Your plan” on the Account page for exactly when yours runs out).
If a payment was taken and the plan it was for never unlocked, or you were charged twice for the same plan, or a charge on your card or mobile money simply looks wrong, write to us at info@edulessons.net with the phone number or email the account uses and roughly when it happened, and we will sort it out — a correction or a refund, whichever the situation actually calls for.
Beyond that, a plan already delivering what it promised is not itself grounds for a refund just because it is part-used or a family changes their mind — the same as most digital access purchases. Paystack and Paddle, the two payment providers EduLessons uses, each apply their own standard rules for disputing a charge too, alongside this one.
